Construction companies sell to two very different buyers. One is an owner, developer or procurement officer who wants proof that you can deliver a $4 million building on schedule. The other is a homeowner who wants to know you will answer the phone, respect the budget and leave the yard clean. Marketing.Construction builds marketing for both, keeps them apart where they need to be, and ties every dollar to signed work.

Why construction marketing is its own discipline

A builder's sales cycle is long, lumpy and lopsided. One awarded project can carry a firm for a year, and one lost relationship can empty a bid board. That changes what good marketing looks like.

  • Fewer, larger decisions. A GC might sign 15 projects a year. Every one matters, so the job is to raise the quality of opportunities, not just the count.
  • Relationships before tenders. Many private projects are decided before a document is issued. If an owner's rep has never heard of you, you are a price on a spreadsheet.
  • Proof travels in projects. Owners and homeowners both want to see work like theirs: the scope, the size, the schedule and who was involved.
  • Backlog sets the throttle. When you have 14 months booked, marketing should get pickier. When backlog falls under six months, it should get louder.

Our guide to construction marketing budget maths shows how to turn your bid-hit ratio and margins into a budget you can defend.

What we do, and what we never do

We are a marketing and business consulting service. We plan, build and run marketing for construction firms and advise owners on positioning and growth. We are not a contractor: we never estimate, build, renovate, supervise a site or hire trades, and we will never compete with a client for work.

The work splits into five services:

The services overview explains which one to start with for your type of firm.

Two buyers, two tracks

The same website rarely persuades a facilities manager and a young family without some care. Here is how we separate them.

B2B track (owners, developers, procurement) Homeowner track (custom homes, renovations, additions)
What they need to see Capacity, safety record, bonding capacity statement, similar completed projects Budget ranges, process, finished photos, how you communicate
Where they look Your site, LinkedIn, public tender portals, industry associations, word of mouth Google search and maps, Instagram, referrals, Houzz-style galleries
Decision time Weeks to months, often before any document is issued Weeks to a year, depending on design and permits
What we measure Invitations to bid, prequalifications passed, shortlist rate Qualified enquiries, site visits booked, contracts signed

Most firms lean one way. A commercial GC may want only the B2B track; a design-build renovator may want only the homeowner one. We price and plan the track you actually need.

Proof from our HVAC work

Our published case studies are results from our HVAC work, not construction projects, and we present them as exactly that. They show the method: project-style service pages, content that answers buyers' questions, and tracking from first click to signed job.

  • Roma Heating & Cooling grew organic traffic by 400% in 12 months.
  • HeatLand answered buyer questions across 850+ SEO articles, and leads rose 300% in 6 months.
  • HVACDeal.ca generated 500+ leads at a 12:1 ROI.

Who is behind it

Marketing.Construction is part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies, a Canadian group headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia. Ali Sedighi, MBA in Technology Management, runs it; his marketing career began in 2007, spans 17+ years, and includes 150+ live HVAC websites built for heating companies. It sits alongside our trades-focused parent, Trades.Agency. Read more on the about page.

Coverage across Canada

We work with construction firms everywhere in Canada, from Lower Mainland custom builders to Halifax renovators and northern GCs who plan around a short shipping season. Builder licensing, warranty bodies, language rules and public tender portals differ by province, so each region page covers what matters locally. Quebec firms, for example, need French-first advertising, and Ontario new-home builders sit under their own licensing authority.

Start with your numbers

The fastest useful first conversation is about four figures: your current backlog in months, last year's bids submitted and won, your target project size, and your gross margin. With those, we can tell you whether marketing will pay and where it should start. See pricing or contact us when you're ready.

Services

Construction marketing services, and which one to start with

How it works

  1. Bring us your backlog and your bid log

How many months of work you have booked, what you bid last year, what you won, and which project types pay you best. That tells us where marketing should push.

  2. Get a plan split by buyer

Owners and procurement teams get one track, homeowners get another. Each has its own pages, channels and costs, written down before anything is spent.

  3. Start with a conversation

No sales sequence and no pressure. Call, text or email; you'll talk to a senior strategist.

Frequently asked questions

What is Marketing.Construction?

Marketing.Construction is a Canadian digital marketing and business consulting service for builders, general contractors, renovators and developers. We are a Vancouver-headquartered member of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group, and Ali Sedighi, MBA, leads the work for every construction client.

Are you a builder or a general contractor?

No. We are not a contractor and we never build, renovate, estimate, manage sites or supply trades. We market construction companies and advise their owners, and we will never bid against you.

Do you work with commercial builders or only residential?

Both. Commercial and institutional GCs mostly need help staying visible to owners, developers and procurement teams. Custom home builders and renovators mostly need qualified homeowner enquiries. Many firms need some of each, and we plan the two tracks separately.

What does it cost?

Monthly plans begin at $1,999, or $1,499 a month on annual billing, plus GST/HST based on your province. The first 30-minute consultation is free for eligible businesses, and the full price list is on our pricing page.

Can you promise we will win more tenders?

No. Nobody honest can promise awards, rankings or lead counts. We can show you how we will measure progress, such as invitations to bid, qualified enquiries and cost per signed project, and report it to you every month.

Do you cover our province?

Yes. We work with construction companies across all 10 provinces and 3 territories, and each region page covers the local market, climate, builder bodies and procurement portals that shape marketing there.
